Plastic Buddha is a film and video production company working on projects for broadcast, big screen and DVD release and for corporate communication.
At plastic buddha we strive to bring integrity to an industry often criticised for the lack of it. We create drama, documentary, and corporate films. And we have an empowerment tool called Peoples’ Voice, which encourages under-represented groups to express themselves through film.
Latest news:
Well, as we near the end of our seventh year of business we are looking back on filming in 15 countries and spending 30 weeks abroad. Much of this work has been in Africa, where we have created and delivered a massive participatory film project with young orphaned or abandoned children in 10 African Countries for the charity SOS Children. http://www.our-africa.org.
But it hasn't stop there. We have worked in both North and South America, Asia, mainland Europe, Scandinavia and Iceland. We have delivered films for academic institutions, government bodies and global corporate companies. Our science work is now on show at the British Science Museum, the Smithsonian Institution and the Nobel Museum. And we have made a participatory film work in Bangladesh with flood ravaged communities.
We are expecting an even busier year in 2012. On the horizon are studies of maternal health care; shifting economic paradigms; global climate change science and a couple of creative projects around nutrition and body function.
Samples of some of our work are available on the OUR WORK pages of this site. More extracts with be uploaded shortly. If you would like a copy of our latest show reel or to discuss how we can help get your message across give us a call on 0844 800 8677
